Lean & Six Sigma

Lean is an extension of the Toyota Production system (TPS); Lean Performance comprises an amalgam of traditional Lean, theory of constraints, Six Sigma and a range of concepts for measurement, analysis and transformation. Lean Performance draws upon Lean concepts and tools to develop a robust and sustainable system. The concepts and tools drawn from the Lean Performance toolbox are tailored to each client and the particular circumstance, all of which will need to continually adapt to the environment to continuously improve business performance.

Lean and Six Sigma are not at odds with each other but work together to compliment each other to strive to optimise business performance. Lean is better at the big picture, at establishing the business foundations whilst Six Sigma offers a powerful problem solving methodology through DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act).
